What Love Storm is

Love Storm is a neighbor-to-neighbor network: a place for people who wish to help to find the people who need help, so they can help them. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.

We connect; we don't guarantee

Love Storm connects neighbors. It does not employ, supervise, vet, or insure them, and it does not guarantee that help will arrive, that a request is accurate, or how any interaction will go. Helping a neighbor — and accepting help — is your own decision, made with your own judgment, at your own risk. The completion handshake exists for accountability between neighbors; it is not an assumption of responsibility by the platform.

Not an emergency service

Love Storm is not 911, is not monitored around the clock, and must never be used to report or respond to an emergency. If someone is in danger, call 911. For crisis referrals in Louisville, call Metro United Way at 2-1-1. Requests that would put anyone in harm's way don't belong here and will be removed.

The rules

• Be truthful. Post real needs, claim only what you intend to do, and confirm completions honestly.
• No harassment, no threats, no discrimination, no using the platform to target, surveil, or locate a person.
• No requests that involve danger, violence, weapons, illegal activity, or anyone's personal crisis being made a spectacle.
• No commercial use: no money changes hands on the platform, no soliciting, no advertising.
• One person per claim: claiming a request releases a neighbor's location to you, once, for the purpose of helping. Using it for anything else is a violation and is logged.
• You must be 18 or older.

Submitted requests pass through review — human, automated, or both — and we may decline, remove, or unpublish anything, and suspend or remove any account, at our discretion, to keep the community safe.

Your content

What you post stays yours. You give Love Storm the license needed to show it to neighbors and operate the service — nothing more. Your privacy is governed by the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, Project Lavos LLC and the people who build and operate Love Storm are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any user of the platform. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greatest extent permitted by Kentucky law.

Housekeeping

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. If a part of them is found unenforceable, the rest stands. We may update these terms as the pilot evolves; material changes get a new effective date here. Questions: matthewdscott7@gmail.com.
