Love StormLouisvilleLove Storm is where Louisville shows up for its neighbors. A ride, a meal, a hand with the yard. And when this city faces a moment that matters โ a storm of good to join.

Douglass Loop and The Highlands
Love Storm runs in two Louisville neighborhoods today, on iOS, with a steward reviewing what a neighborhood sees. Everyone taking part has a verified account -- including the person asking for help. More neighborhoods open as stewards come on.
A neighbor needs a hand and says so. It takes about a minute, and nobody sees their address.
A real person reviews what publishes. Everyday deeds go up fast; anything sensitive waits for human judgment.
One person claims it, so nobody gets a crowd at the door. They come with what they have.
Both sides confirm it happened. Every finished deed is a drop, and the drops add up to a city that shows up.
Care without action is sentiment. Action without care is force. We do both.
Everyday deeds go up fast. Anything sensitive waits for a steward to read it first.
One neighbor takes each need, so help arrives as a person and not a pile-on.
Every person affected by a storm -- requester, participant, neighbor -- is treated with full respect.
The pilot covers Douglass Loop and the Highlands, roughly the streets around Bardstown Road. If you are in or near these, the app will have something for you. If you are not, it will look empty, and that is the honest state of it rather than a bug.
More neighborhoods open as stewards come on. If you want yours next, say so and it goes on the list.
Love Storm was built and is run by Matthew Scott in Louisville, operated by Project Lavos LLC while the pilot runs. It started with a small founding group here in town after a conversation at Canopy's Good Business Summit, and it is being set up as a nonprofit.
That last part is not finished yet, and it would be strange to pretend otherwise on the page where you are deciding whether to trust it. The entity and the funding are the open questions right now. Everything you can see and install is already built.
Questions, doubts, or an offer to help go straight to Matthew, not to a form: matthewdscott7@gmail.com
One of them takes five minutes and a phone. The other takes one email.
Get the app and see what is needed near you. It is an early build, so it comes through Apple's TestFlight: you install TestFlight first, then Love Storm. A few minutes, and an Apple ID.
Get the app on iPhoneiPhone only for now. An Android version comes with the public launch. If you are on Android, use the other door and you will be first to know.
Most people who see this are not going to mow a stranger's lawn, and that is fine. Introductions, a neighborhood to open next, advice, or funding all matter more right now than another install.
Email Matthew directlyGoes to a person, not a list. No newsletter, and nothing automated will ever email you.
Not outrage, not paralysis โ action. It's running in Douglass Loop right now, and there is a way in for you whether or not you ever install anything.
